Swan Fleets
We have pleasure in presenting Metro's 2 seater and 5 seater swan design family craft.These have proved such a major public draw wherever introduced that in most cases
additional craft have been ordered. A customer list is available, see links below.
Ryde Lake, Isle of Wight
Our swans are based on our standard Metro hull design, many hundred of which areoperating in the UK and on prestigous overseas sites including:
Disneyland Paris and Jerudong Park, Brunei.
They provide excellent buoyancy and stability and are easy to pedal for adults and children.
5 Seater Swan
One piece deck mouldings incorporate the swan head and tail plus all seating, so providinga single watertight easy clean surface.
Mechanical components used are in stainless steel, cast bronze or thermo-plastics.
2 Seater Swan
The swans consist of 2 interlocking heavy duty GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) mouldings withthe hull/deck joint sitting in an overlapping laminate. Buoyancy foam is placed
between the mouldings to provide residual buoyancy.
The beam of both craft is 5ft 5in with lengths of 7ft 6in / 10ft 8in.
All mechanicals are immediately accessible for ease of service.
Fendering is continuously bolted round the hull/deck jointline.
Apart from routine cleaning and occasional greasegun application on the bearings,
maintenance costs are minimal.
